Last week I went down the rabbit hole of looking back at my Top 10 podcast episodes from the past year… but my journey down the rabbit hole didn’t stop there!

It then got me thinking about my blog. So for those of you that are readers, rather than listeners, I thought I’d share my Top 10 blog posts on Simply Stacey Morgan.

How to overcome imposter syndrome

I’ve been teaching dance for a long time. Like, a really long time. I started teaching when I was just 12 years old and I still absolutely love everything about it.

So you probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you I sometimes get Imposter Syndrome when I teach…. But it’s the truth.

There are times when I find that I start looking sideways. I start looking at what some of the younger teachers are doing. I start looking at what some of my older teachers are doing and how good they are at their jobs. And I think, “What have I got to offer? Do I still have what it takes to engage these kids?”

Finding “balance” in our busy lives.

Today I wanted to talk about something we all struggle with: managing competing priorities and the various roles we play in our lives. It can be a real challenge, right?

Here's the thing: when I focus on one thing at a time, I usually rock it! You know that feeling when you're totally killing it as a mum or when you're in the zone at work? Yeah, those moments are awesome. But the real danger zone creeps in when I try to juggle multiple roles simultaneously. That’s when things go pear shaped.

Join Group Coaching with Like-Minded Women in Business

Do you ever catch yourself scrolling social media or checking your inbox and getting really excited when you see a new program or professional development opportunity that has your name all over it?

For me it’s something like this:

✔️Surrounded by fellow women in business all eager to learn.

✔️Built-in accountability mechanisms to make me actually do the work (and not just pay for an online course I never actually complete… or even start.)

✔️The chance to ask all of my burning questions at any time of day (or night!).

✔️Learning from someone I trust and respect

Feel like you’re winging it in business?

Here’s something I want you to know: A lack of business knowledge is not something to be embarrassed about. It’s the reality for almost every entrepreneur out there — myself included.

When I started my dance school I knew I could teach ballet classes — that was the easy part! The rest? I’ve learnt it through 10+ years of trial and error and a LOT of support from online courses, programs, coaches and mentors. And I’m open about sharing that.
